Baby's now the size of a lime!
"Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through it. But fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds, and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.
By now, you're surely familiar with the prenatal symphony of burps, flatulence, and rumbling tummy. Small, frequent meals should help with the discomfort. And make sure to eat and drink slowly to prevent swallowing extra air. You'll later use this technique when feeding baby! Prenatal yoga can also help settle down your belly and -- side benefit -- soothe those mood swings."
Yep, it's all pretty much true. I am doing a bit better (knock on wood) as far as constant nausea. It now seems to come and go and be less severe most days. Still there is a lot of GI upset going on and it's causing me to test foods - is it gluten (the long lost friend I've invited back into my life), lactose (the only protein I can stomach is cheese)...or is it just pregnancy and unavoidable? I've never done this before so for now it will be trial and error.
I suddenly feel bigger - pants still fit but I try to wear flowy tops to camoflauge what appears to be a bump developing (already, it that normal?). Gonna roll with it....
I took a 12 week pic and I thought it was baby, but I was wrong I think it was bloat!:) So I think a little bump is normal.
ReplyDeleteBump is beautiful and so normal. Enjoy all of it. Tums will be your best friend from here on out.
ReplyDeleteOh, cute little nail beds!
ReplyDeleteAnd you look gorgeous, as always!
I was definitely starting to get a bump by 12 weeks, I hope you are taking pictures every week so you can watch the progress, it is really fun to look back on. Every post you make makes me smile, I am truly happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI was out of my regular pants by 12 weeks and asked the whole time if I was having twins. Your doing great and look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGlad everything is going well! Hope your nausea is close to leaving for good!
